Privacy policy
HejMap.com remembers a few things to make your experience better — like whether you prefer dark mode, how you like the language list sorted, game progress, or whether the sidebar was open when you last visited. We also use affiliate tools and offer optional analytics, as described below.
What HejMap remembers
App preferences
Saves your theme, sidebar, sort settings, audio choice, and game progress locally in your browser so the app feels right when you return. HejMap does not send these app preferences to its servers.
Analytics
Helps us see which maps and languages people explore most — so we can make them better. Powered by Google Analytics. Your choice is stored for 12 months, after which we'll ask again.
Who else is involved
Contact and feedback forms
HejMap uses Formspree to process contact and guide feedback forms. When you submit a form, Formspree receives your message, any contact email you choose to provide, the page path for guide feedback, and standard request information needed to prevent abuse and deliver the message. Please do not include sensitive personal information. See the Formspree privacy policy.
Travelpayouts and Airalo affiliate tools
Selected pages include an eSIM search tool provided by Travelpayouts for Airalo. The tool loads only when it approaches the visible page and may receive standard request information, the page URL, destination searches, and interactions with the widget. If you follow an offer or make a purchase, HejMap may receive a commission at no extra cost to you. See the Travelpayouts privacy policy and Airalo privacy policy.
Embedded YouTube media
The World Cup map includes an optional YouTube video using YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode. A connection to YouTube is made when the embedded player loads, and YouTube may receive technical request information or store data if you interact with it. See Google's privacy policy.
Flag images
National flag images are served by Flagcdn. Loading a flag sends the service standard request information such as your IP address, browser details, and the HejMap origin. HejMap's referrer policy prevents the full page path from being sent cross-site.
Map tiles and software delivery
Some maps retrieve background tiles from CARTO and load mapping libraries from the jsDelivr or unpkg content-delivery networks. Those providers receive standard request information such as your IP address, browser details, and the HejMap origin. Interactive map selections and search text are handled in your browser and are not included in those resource requests.
Cloudflare security and consent storage
Cloudflare hosts and protects HejMap. It may set essential first-party cookies or browser storage used for bot protection, security challenges, session continuity, and remembering consent choices. These controls are necessary to deliver and protect the site and are separate from optional Google Analytics.
Cloudflare Web Analytics
Cloudflare Web Analytics is used to collect aggregated usage data and does not itself use cookies or track visitors across sites. Cloudflare's separate security and consent features may use the essential storage described above. Cloudflare's use of data is governed by its privacy policy.
